The Ryan Wells Foundation was started in 2005 to serve and honor a young man that was a leader among his peers. Ryan's strong character and principles were an example to all. He was an Eagle Scout, a Scuba Scout and co-captain of Tarpon High's golf team in Tarpon Springs, Florida. His dreams for college were to pursue a degree in the culinary and hospitality field. With the help of the foundation, others can fulfill theirs' and Ryan's dreams.

"Tarpon Springs High school is a well-rounded school with the gift of giving students expectations and goals. The culinary arts program is a program that allows students to have dreams and an opportunity for a future. I was awarded a scholarship through the Ryan Wells Foundation as a senior in 2008. The Ryan Wells scholarship has helped me through my semesters in college and in furthering my education.  Being awarded with a scholarship will help bring attention to the culinary arts program at Tarpon High School."
